Here is the short story of our Bra strap journey.

Two moms were taking their kids to swim class every other day for 3 years. They talked about everything; global warming, relationships, organic vs. inorganic food, shopping and how to eliminate high fructose corn syrup from their kid’s diets. Fashion always seemed to be part of their conversations as well. The most interesting part of the story is that Michele is a Podiatrist who took a break from practicing to raise her 3 small children. Jamie is a fashion designer and home designer who worked for GUESS HOME COLLECTION. She has also taken time off to raise her 2 children. The funny part is…..Michele missed doing surgeries. She had given up the OR (operating room) for the PG (playground) and Jamie was tired that her only creative outlet was her new culinary hobby, which was not going so well.

It was during their training for the Susan G Komen Breast Cancer 3 day walk that their bra straps conversation took form. They hated the look of the clear straps. “Have you noticed that clear bra straps don’t stay so clear”? And they felt that all of the other similar products on the market did not give the support they needed. All sorts of feminine questions were brought up during those rigorous 3 hour training walks and shortly after completing the 3 Day Walk (which was an amazing experience), Jamie and Michele designed the first pair of beaded bra straps. At this point it was easy for Jamie to convince Michele that it was time to use her hands again in a much more creative fashion. BEADING!!!!!

Michele, a native New Yorker, in addition to her medical background and good business sense, has always had a flair for fashion and retail shopping!! She enjoys planning great family trips and loves researching the latest fashion trends and bead designs…. Jamie is from Atlanta, Georgia and has always been passionate about home and clothing design. Her fantasy of inventing a new fashion trend that would take the fashion world by storm is about to -----. Jamie is also quite a fan of reality TV and can’t wait to share their story on the Oprah show!!!

Both women now reside in Tampa Florida, where tank tops, sun dresses (and hopefully BSTRAPS®) are worn most of the year.
